Update: 8/1/13

I found this video a moment ago and just thought I would share it, this seems to be a news broadcast in spanish.

Update: 7/29/13 – 10:45pm

I just found a video of this miracle on youtube and you can actually see the host bleeding and a Priest wipes the blood that is coming through the monstrance!!!  This is amazing to see.  Please watch the video below and send this out to everyone you know.  What a great gift our Lord has given us!  My Lord and My God.

A Mexican priest is claiming that, after hearing the voice of God, the host which he had just consecrated began to bleed. The bloody host was available for adoration for some time, at which point the Archbishop ordered the Host to be reposed until further investigation.

Here is what happened:

Eucharistic MiracleThis is a time of great blessing for this community and for the whole world.” says Father Jose Dolores Castellanos Gudino of the phenomenon that occurred in his parish yesterday after blood flowed from a consecrated host.

Amid songs, clapping, tears, long lines and cell phones trying to capture the moment, thousands of faithful Catholics and non-believers alike visited the Parish of Mary Mother of the Church located in Colonia Jardines de la Paz (Guadalajara, Mexico) to witness the alleged miracle.

A flash and a voice

It was 12:00 on the date when the pastor was making his daily prayer before the Blessed Sacrament when suddenly saw a flash and heard a voice that instructed him:

“Chime the bells to summon everyone, pour out blessings to those who are present, and all day. Take your small tabernacle from private worship and bring it to the altar of the parish, place the largest monstrance next to it, and do not open the Tabernacle until three in the afternoon, no sooner, when I will perform a miracle in the Eucharist. The miracle to take place will be called the “Miracle of the Eucharist in the Incarnation of Love Joined With Our Mother and Queen,’ you will take the sign of which I speak, and you will display it.”

Afterward, “the voice” told him to tell “the apostles” (the priests) to help all souls in their conversion and fill them with blessings.

Father Lolo–as his parishioners know him–said he could not utter a word to that voice that spoke except, “My Lord, am thy servant, I will do thy will.”  His voice breaking with emotion that he could not conceal, the priest continued narrating what happened:

I did as I was ordered, I asked them to open the doors of the church, it was about half past two, and I said to sound the bells as I was told. I took from my small private chapel this humble wooden tabernacle, I put it on the altar, also got the monstrance as I was ordered and at about three in the afternoon people were gathered in prayer to the Blessed Sacrament. When I asked if it was already three in the afternoon and everyone told me yes, I went to open the tabernacle, and the wafer consecrated through our Lord Jesus Christ was bathed in blood.eucharist miracle

Celebrate every July 24th:

The father explained that what Jesus wants is to worship his body and blood bound to His Blessed Mother and that every July 24 we will remember the Eucharistic Miracle of the Incarnation of Love Joined with Our Mother and Lady.

“I heard (the voice) tell me that a niche for the adoration of souls would be established in this community, and that if at any time they want to perform studies that require a part [of the host] that they may do all the studies they want.”

He added:

“He (Jesus) is here present and I pass on to you only what I heard, together with those who saw what I saw.”

The ElInformador.com.mx adds:

Fr. LoloAfter the Mass, past 8:00 pm, Father Dolores Castelllanos’s secretary said he was unavailable to give an official statement, to say whether there had been contact with the Archdiocese of Guadalajara, or explain what would happen in the days after this incident.

During the first day of public viewing of the “bleeding host,” the disorder in the church was apparent, to the extent that the parish authorities advised cancelling the exposition–at times it was only possible to focus on the yelling and pushing of adults and children who wanted to come to the altar and be witnesses to what Father “Lolo” had seen.

The makeshift security guard of Mary Mother of the Church chose to place a screen on which were projected images of the “bloody host,” but over time this only served to further captivate those who had heard the rumor, like Mrs. Clara Aparicio, who appeared before the “Eucharistic Miracle” trusting that the asthma with which she suffered would disappear.

I did not doubt what I had heard so strongly, so clearly. Now I show it as I was told,” said the priest. At the stroke of 9:00 pm, the guards closed the doors to hundreds of worshipers leaving no opportunity to observe the “bloody wafer,” saying that the viewing would resume on Thursday at about 8 a.m.

I leave this up for discernment and have read in other sources that the Bishop has launched an investigation into this phenomena and also has Fr. Lolo undergoing a set of tests to determine if what he saw was from God.

  1. What is suspicious is that the alleged miracle did not occur spontaneously from a clean host in front of the crowd. It came from the priest's personal tabernacle and the host was already bloody when he opened the tabernacle. It seems odd that the voice would ask him to put the large monstrance next to the small tabernacle, which I think violates Church rubrics for exposing two separate hosts in the same place.

    • There are some things in this story that need further explanation. Which is why I said at the end that we need to pray for discernment on this event. I think part of the problem is the translation of what happened and how it happened. Hopefully a better translation will be coming out soon.

That being said, I do remember several 'Eucharistic Miracles' that are Church approved that happened out of sight. One in particular, involves a woman who felt that her husband was cheating on her so she went to a sorceress and was told to bring the witch a consecrated host. Long story short the woman got scared after leaving the Church and instead of bring the body of Christ to the sorceress, she took the Eucharist home and put it in a trunk and was awoken in the middle of the night by a bright light coming from the veil which held the Eucharist in the trunk… read more here: http://www.miraclesofthechurch.com/2010/11/miracl

Anyways.. with God all things are possible and that is what I would say with this news of a Eucharistic Miracle. I have read that the Priest involved in this current Miracle in Mexico was also being trained for the Latin Mass. So I would take that into account as well, that there is a validity to this story which will undoubtedly be looking into thoroughly.

      God Bless!

    • It did not say whether or not the Monstrance already had an existing Eucharist, just that he was asked to bring the Monstrance to display (which in fact is what Church teaching would have done to expose the Blessed Sacrament). I do not doubt this is real, but again, I leave it to the Church authorities and look forward to their findings).

      • I agree Joan, I too look forward to the results on this. The tabernacle that did contain the consecrated hosts contained the miracle.

        Thanks for commenting!

      • Joan and Michael, Look at the picture of the priest – the large monstrance clearly has the Eucharist in it. Therefore, there are two expositions of the Blessed Sacrament in the same place, which violates proper rubrics. The bloody hosts were never put into the large monstrance. My brother had a good friend who was actually there when this happened. I know you badly want to believe this, but the circumstances lend itself to deception. The priest could have easily dipped the hosts in blood and put them in his little tabernacle in his private chapel, then moved the little tabernacle to the main altar, then he opens it and it is already bloody. Seems like an unconvincing way to bring about a miracle, especially when the "voice" seemed so concerned with proving its authenticity by supposedly telling the priest it was ok to test the host. I believe in miracles, but the Church and the saints have advised us to have a healthy skepticism for these type of things.

        • Ankenyman,

I do have a healthy feeling about this. I am not taking it to an extreme and declaring this to be an infallible supernatural event. I do not 'badly' want to believe in this, I already know that God is present in every consecrated Eucharist, I truly believe in the true presence, and I know that miracles do happen. I, like the rest of the faithful Catholics, look forward to the decision made by the Church and whatever that decision is, I will accept it. You can read all the articles in this blog and you will not find one article or writing that is against the Church or overly 'charismatic'. Everything that I write and believe in, is in line with the Church.

          Thanks!

          Michael

          • Sounds good! It will be interesting to see the results of the investigation. Take care.

          • I agree. I just returned home from a 3 hr meeting with my spiritual director who is a hermit. He hadn't heard of this yet, but was intrigued. He thought that it was good for people to hear about it because it helped boost peoples faith and understanding in the Eucharist. Anyways.. Thanks for posting.. God Bless!

  2. Things seem out of control all around us, and as much as I need to see or hear about a true miracle, I know to reserve opinion.

    In the meantime, I pray…

    • I'm also waiting on the investigation of this. I pray and hope this is truly supernatural, thus far it is pretty darn convincing if you ask me.

  3. I had to delete a comment a few moments ago from a spammer who posted a link to the demented and hellishly insane Jack Chick site. If you wish to leave a comment, I welcome it. But if your going to spam my site with a link to Jack Chick.. it's going to get deleted.

    Thanks!

  4. Well, all I can say is that Jesus is always present in the Eucharist. And people are bound to doubt, bcos doubt is part of our nature. Even if Christ comes in person today, not all will believe, so I also abide with the idea for us to wait and se further proofs, for it's time that will tell

    • Tentow,

I agree. =) Time will tell.

      God Bless,

      Michael

    • Sorry to sidetrack. Can I please remind Christians that Jesus will not come again ‘in the flesh’. But He will come again on a cloud of glory- in the same manner in which He left. This will be His second Coming. This is important as there is a man to come who will claim to be Jesus. Do not be deceived. In the meantime, cherish Him in the Most Holy Eucharist.

  5. These kinds of incredible happenings seem to be reported every now and then. Did the host bleed? Perhaps it did. All things are possible with God. Perhaps there are some, perhaps there are many who need to see this type of miracle to believe in Jesus Christ. I don't. I believe in Jesus Christ with all my heart, soul and mind. So do millions of others. When these events happen, I just wonder if this is God's way of helping those who struggle with their faith. Pray for those who can't see the blood of Christ in the Gospels. Pray for those who can't see the path Christ has called all of us to walk on to help others. Jesus Christ is here. He's been here.

    • Hey John,

I think that you are right in regards to what you said about some people needing to see this and others not so much. I believe that things like this only strengthen our faith and I too look forward to what the Church has to say. There are many people that doubt that such events can and will happen, for those people, we must pray for them to be given the gift of faith and be open to receiving that faith from God.

      God Bless,

      Michael

  6. I believe that God is always trying to get our attention. Medjugorje, Fatima, Lourdes, Etc. This is going to get alot of people praying that weren't praying before. Those of us who were, will add more prayer time. In the end His goal and Our Lady's goal is for us to join him. Praise him for his patience for continuing to show us proof, we are more like Thomas than we know. I definitely believe it is real.

    • I don't know if I think that God is seeking out our attention in such a way. I think he allows these events (legitimate ones) to happen so that we might have a sign of his goodness and be brought closer to him through our faith. This isn't the place to go into this and I think I will probably step on a few toes here, but I do not think that Medj is a legitimate and supernatural God-inspired vision. That being said, Fatima and Lourdes most certainly are and their events do draw us closer to Our Lords side as we seek to live a life of holiness. I do look forward to how this turns out, but I will not stake my faith on it if the Church finds this Eucharistic event to not be of supernatural origin.

      God Bless!

      Michael

  7. I truly believe in this miracle. There is a website, youshallbelieve.com, that explains of miracles as this one in Guadalajara that have been occurring all over the world. There is a DVD on this website titled, Science Tests Faith, and a book, Reason to Believe by Ron Tesoriero, an Australian lawyer. He and Mike Willesee, TV journalist/producer, have had the best scientists throughout the world test these findings. I would not want to spoil it for you and tell you more but their findings are amazing! The messages that the visionary Katia receives from Jesus are credible! these miracles are happening everywhere because God wants all his children to come back to Him.

    God bless!

    Ana

  8. Ana, I look forward to reading that book. In the meantime, Michael, you posted another article about the sky trumpets. The end is drawing nearer, in my opinion, and it won't happen the way many people think it will. Thinking about what Ana said, plus the things happening like nuclear pollution from Japan (forewarned about back in the 70's from Our Lady of Akita), the strange weather patterns, current world politics…plus the sounding trumpets in the sky. It is about time Our Lady of America is enshrined in the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in D.C. as requested by Our Lady to a visionary in St. Louis.

  9. Even if Christ performs all
the Eucharistic miracles on earth, we would still express doubt, looking for loopholes.Let the Church guide us cos she will never mislead her children. This i know for sure.

  10. It is almost July 24th.2014
Who will remember? I will go to adoration.
